How to choose by your children's ages
Babies and toddlers (0-3): most kids clubs do not take children this young alone. Holiday Inn Resort Samui allows under-4s inside with a parent or babysitter, and Maya Resort allows under-3s with an adult, so these two work best if you want to stay close by while your toddler plays. Both also list babysitting, which helps for an evening out.
Preschool and early school (4-7): this is the sweet spot. Every resort in our table accepts children from age 4 without a parent. Four Seasons runs its Kids For All Seasons program with Thai crafts, beach games and nature activities, and Kimpton Kitalay's JUNIO club is a 500 sq m, two-level space designed around non-tech, hands-on play.
Older kids (8-12): look for variety beyond toys. Holiday Inn's Jungle's Book club offers optional paid activities like pizza making and Thai dessert cooking, and Anantara Lawana lists kids' sports such as boxing and yoga classes led by certified staff.

Season and budget
Koh Samui's driest, most popular months are roughly January to April, which is also when room rates peak. The island's wetter months sit around October to December; during that time a good indoor kids club matters more, so a 500 sq m indoor club like Kimpton Kitalay's or Maya Resort's 96 sq m indoor playroom is worth real money. In the hot, drier months, outdoor play areas and a shaded pool matter more. Our two-week Thailand itinerary with kids explains how we split days between Bangkok and Samui, and the family packing list covers what to bring for the heat.

What each resort publishes
Holiday Inn Resort Samui Bophut Beach describes the Jungle's Book Kids Club as a jungle-themed play area, free for hotel guests up to age 12, open 9:00-21:00 with a one-hour cleaning break at 17:00. Children under 4 stay with a parent or babysitter. Some activities cost extra, and babysitting is available. We stayed at this resort with our kids and recommend it; our detailed Holiday Inn Samui review has the full picture.
Kimpton Kitalay Samui (Choeng Mon) presents JUNIO, a 500 sq m split-level kids club inspired by a seaside port, for children aged 4 to 12, focused on non-tech activities. Hours and pricing are not listed on the club page.
Maya Resort Samui publishes the most detail: a 96 sq m indoor playroom plus an outdoor play area, a dedicated on-site supervisor with childcare certification and first-aid training, free access for guests, and a day pass for visitors. Children under 3 join with an adult, and the club caps capacity at 15 children at a time.
Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui runs the complimentary Kids For All Seasons program for ages 4-12, open 9:00-18:00 with a one-hour break at noon. Children under 4 join with a parent or guardian, and Thai cooking classes are available on request for children from age 5 for a fee.
Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort lists a kids club for ages 4-12 (under 4 with a parent or nanny) and kids' sports activities such as boxing and yoga classes with certified in-house staff. Hours are not stated on the family page.
